frenzy frou-frou rhythm and rumble, the fashion project

in the year 2000, robert herzog and rüdiger schestag decided to show a different point of view of fashion, which is shown in paris. therefore they have chosen ten outranking designers who are virtuos enough to be revealing in their collections. outranking means to be virtous in manual skill and in artistic claim. “frenzy frou frou. rhythm and rumble” is an unique project, which is able to break open conventional structures in fashion. for the project has been selected ten excellent and visionary designers as follows:

veronique branquinho, comme des garcons, junya watanabe, ann demeulemeester, maison martin margiela, issey miyake by naoki takizawa, a.f. vandevorst, dries van noten, dirk van saene and bernhard willhelm

most of them helped to realize the project. they have been sending key-outfits and they have told about their work in ten very profound interviews. moreover rüdiger schestag, the photographer of the project produced shootings with models in germany. moodpictures and live-photos of the fashion shows in paris supplement the archives. so the project bases on material which is able to re-create intentions of each designer. one can be convinced about this: “frenzy frou frou” is a perfect and passionated reflection of avantgardistic fashion without losing identity of the authors.
